Ottavia Cepraga earned her PhD in Historical Linguistics from the University for Foreigners of Siena, under the supervision of Marina Benedetti and Eystein Dahl. Her dissertation examined auditory perception verbs in Classical Greek, with a focus on clausal complementation and its correlation with semantic and pragmatic parameters such as evidentiality, epistemicity, and factivity. She holds a BA in Classics and an MA in Linguistics from the University of Bologna. Her MA thesis on the genitive–accusative alternation with perception verbs in Ancient Greek received the Indogermanische Gesellschaft’s award for best thesis in Indo-European Studies. Her research interests include Greek and Latin linguistics, typology, and historical linguistics.
